Blurred Bagel Promo Presents:
We have Frankie Teardrop Dead coming from Manchester as our headline act! Following two critically acclaimed albums and successful headline performances, festival appearances and sharing the stage with the likes of The Brian Jonestown Massacre; The Telescopes; Magic Shoppe and The Cambodian Space Project, Frankie Teardrop Dead return with their highly anticipated third album Plane Eclipse.
Main Support from Wirral’s San Pedro’s Vision“an accomplished sounding Psych Rock band their sound is expansive and the meaty underpinning of the drum and bass is layered with shimmering, otherworldly organ, and echoey vocals that bleed off and seem to follow the white rabbit down the hole. San Pedro’s Vision are a substantial sounding group with the kind of trippy vibe that drops you straight into that decadent 60s era of dancing hippie chicks and lounging long-haired dudes.” GetIntoThis
And new on the scene but definitely ones to watch out for Scouse band Manzanas Manana! Bringing their own unique mix of psych and garage.

Liverpool’s Chris Campbell, best known as the drummer for local band The Sums and 1990’s Indie band Hurricane#1 talks to LLB about his new project out in L.A with Justin Paul Sanders. Find all their music listed on our directory!
Liverpool to L.A!
Chris Campbell, Liverpool’s homegrown drummer is set to embark on a new project which will see him packing up his drumsticks and boarding a flight to L.A today. This new venture sees him teaming up with one of L. A’s finest Indie / Rock artist’s Justin Paul Sanders.
Best known as the drummer for legendary 1990’s indie band Hurricane #1 who had hits with “Only the Strongest Will Survive” and “Step into My World”, Chris is looking for new musical adventures across the pond.
A little bit about Hurricane#1
Chris joined as the bands drummer in 2014 and enjoyed the success of the release of the 2015 album, “Find What You Love and Kill It”. This went a bit under the radar as it was only released internationally.
The bands fourth album “Melodic Rainbows” was released on 12 October 2016 in Japan. The album title was inspired by five rainbows which Chris had spotted during a walk in The Lake District one morning. This album produced a sell-out tour in Japan and Boston.
Keep your eyes peeled and ears to the ground as Chris tells us there will be some news about the band!
A little bit about The Sums
The Sums are a 4-piece band from Liverpool (formerly known as “Smaller”). Fronted by legendary singer songwriter Peter ‘Digsy’ Deary, the face of the Oasis track ‘Digsy’s Dinner’ from debut album Definitely Maybe. Smaller hit the top 10 in the indie charts with singles taken from their critically acclaimed album Badly Badly. The album features classics from the band including ‘Wasted’, ‘God I Hate This Town’ and ‘Is’ which features Noel Gallagher on guitar who hails this album as one of his all-time favourites. Not forgetting local talented singer song writer Chris Mullin, guitarist Ritchard Northcote and Chris who joined the band in 2003. The Sums have a catalogue of albums to be proud of. Following the release of their album’ Better’ in August 2019, the band will no doubt be announcing some gig dates soon. Follow them on social media and the Liverpool Local Bands blog for regular updates about gigs and releases!
A little bit about Justin Paul Sanders
Los Angeles Indie Rock artist Justin Paul Sanders here, reaching out to pitch the single, “It’s Only you”, and/or album review for “Beverly Blue,” out August 2nd. “Beverly Blue” was recorded and co-produced by Tyler Demorest (New Language) at ABC Studios in Silver Lake, mixed by Keith Armstrong (Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Nicks, Green Day) and mastered at Sterling Sound in Nashville. For the release show, he will be joined by the Petty Breakers at the legendary Belly Up Tavern on August 3rd.
He has had the pleasure of playing with Ron Blair and Scott Thurston of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Johnny Echols of Love, Severo Jornacion of the Smithereens, Hattie Webb of the Webb Sisters, Don Heffington, and many others.
He has a career which spans over ten years of experience performing at California’s premier venues including Belly Up, Hotel Cafe Hollywood, The Satellite, the Viper Room, Bootleg Theatre in Los Angeles, Casbah, and many more. As a full-time musician, he has had residencies at Pechanga Casino, Temecula Wineries, and multiple breweries and pubs in Southern California.
Both the album and single represent what he thinks is his finest work and is a culmination of his dedication to the craft of song writing and performing. Watch this space! I am sure he is looking forward to teaming up with Chris.
This true musical talent from Liverpool will be touring across venues all over L.A, doesn’t America need more scousers? We wish you the best of luck Chris and don’t forget to blow the roof off!
